Home remedy for PUPPP ( skin rashes)

Are you experiencing rashes during your pregnancy time? If you realize you've been itching and scratching, you're not alone.
Doctors recognize it as ( a long name)... Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy (PUPPP)
Some pregnant mums may find red spots of rashes on the tummy, the feet and arms. However, not all mums will get this. Getting rashes is mainly due to the hormonal changes in the body, the moment you done your job in the delivery room, the rashes are gone by then.

One mum told me from her experience, that usually, pregnant with the first boy, is when rashes happen. And that was what happened to her first pregnancy too. She applied the creams prescribed by the doctors, putting powder and applying chamomile cream... nothing really works.

She shared one effective home- remedy, from the kitchen:
Its, Baking powder!
Mix Baking powder and water in the ratio of 1:3
( one tablespoon of Baking powder to three table spoons of water)
Make them into paste, and apply on the skin.

Also, too take note that its good to shower with cool water ( avoid too hot), to ease the tension of the itch.

Different people has got different result on the remedy, trial it. Apply the paste on a small portion of the skin, and see if it works for you too!

Happy Prenatal= Happy mum + happy baby

Many newbie pregnant mums asked this one question, " Does prenatal yoga is really good?". Not being pregnant before myself, used to find it really doubtful to answer this question. But today, i am convinced that Prenatal Yoga is essential in progression to a happy pregnancy period, happy mum and happy baby even!
Not that i'm pregnant or gave birth...ha!

Since last year, i was giving private prenatal yoga session to this newbie mum. She came to me just right after she was in her 2nd trimester. It was the best time to start because her belly is not showing yet. We started to work on her not- so- good posture ( that could give her potential aches if her belly starts to grow and get heavy)--- to get her body structure ready for third trimester ( when the belly balloons).

And we started working on her breathing practice, to lessen the chances of any " breath- shortness" and " anxiety build up". It is good to start doing breath- work early. She was very hardworking i would say, that she would do her own self- practice when i'm not around.
We met up very regularly, 3-4 times a week for prenatal classes. And her body improved tremendously, just in time when her tummy started to pout.

During the third trimester, our sessions vary according to the aches and discomforts she was having. Her "suffering" was pretty short- term, because we met up regularly and the remedy for her problem was given to her fast--- leg cramps, bundles of problem from the sciatica nerve, water retention, stress from work, worries and anxieties, sleep loss...

I would say her period of pregnancy was surprisingly smooth with no constant contraction. The only time she   felt a contraction ( which she did not know what it was), that she calmly took a shower, Googled what's happening to her tummy, woke her husband up, and drove to the hospital.... then to know that she was more than ready to give birth!

6 weeks after her birth, she called for post- natal yoga sessions. We met up for post- natal yoga, and she is looking great, with her super- cute little new born.

A happy pregnancy period, a happy mum and a happy baby!
